Annie and Dynah
My boyfriend & Me
About this Cook
I grew up in Orange County and now live in the beautiful San Gabriel mountains in a little town called Wrightwood in California. I live with my amazing boyfriend and our two great pets - one sweet dog named Annie and one crazy cat named Dynah (from Alice in Wonderland). I am a waitress and am going to school for Massage Therapy. I am easy going, fun loving, adventurous, goofy, and sweet.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make enchiladas, pot roast, lasagna, teriyaki chicken bowls, anything Italian or Mexican, and love to experiment with new recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom did not really teach me how to cook so I had to teach myself. In three years I went from screwing up Macaroni and Cheese (the box kind) to making full-on delicious meals from scratch. It took lots of trial and error but I'm getting pretty good now!
My cooking triumphs
I now can make just about any recipe taste delicious!
My cooking tragedies
My first meal I made for my boyfriend was a boxed italian chicken pasta meal... I was going to serve cinnamon muffins on the side... Somehow I put the cinnamon blend in with the pasta & well - the pasta was extra sweet! Yuck! He never lets me live that one down... LoL I've come a long way since then!

Gorgonzola Sauce
Wow - so delicious and impressive! I topped this over filet mignon - mmmmm! I used 1/3 less butter, added olive oil, doubled the cheese, left out the green onion and threw in some sliced portobello mushrooms and we couldn't get enough!!

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo
PERFECT fettuccini alfredo! I left out the onions, mushrooms, & tomatoes for my bf's sake and substituted broccoli and it was SO good!

Shrimp Tacos
Best shrimp tacos I have ever had! I skipped the mango and added more avocado & left out the onion. I also used 1/3 of the garlic the recipe called for in the salsa. I used pre-cooked mini frozed shrimp and melted them in the honey butter which I added extra honey, lime, and garlic to. I simmered the shrimp in the butter mixture for about 20 minutes... I served the shrimp on top of green cabbage on top of the flour tortillas. YUM!!!!
