I am a 26 year old young lady who finally started growing up! I recently moved 12 hrs away from the only home I have ever known. My boyfriend and I live together in a small little town, which lacks of resturants and has an even bigger lack of culture. I keep very busy with work and being "barefoot in the kitchen" as my BF likes to call it. When Im not working or in the house, I can be found taking advantage of the outdoors. Whether its hiking, cycling, kayaking, learning to ski, you name it...I love it! I am following weight watchers, so I enjoy cooking anything that sounds yummy and is low in calories/fat. Exciting, huh? My favorite type of food to make is Mexican, specifically, Burritos. I also like to bake. My dad always cooked growing up. I will always fondly remember Sunday morning pancake and scrapple breakfasts, along with making Cinnamon Buns as a family every Christmas Eve. Im still a beginner when it comes to cooking, in fact, I didn't start cooking for myself until about 8 months ago. I never had the need to cook where I grew up (NJ), but I have recently relocated to northern Maine. Up here there is not a lot of choices for eating out, therefor I decided if I wanted to eat good food, then I would have to make it myself.
