We love this recipe. I double everything but the potatoes, and use hickory flavored spiral sliced ham chopped up. I used milk instead of water and no salt ham is already salty enough. The hickory gives this dish an awesome flavor. The leftovers are terrific too and I usually hate leftovers.

I have used this recipe for a long time and its perfect as written however tonight I decided to try chef joys recipe because of reading the other reviews for the topping and it was terrible. Sorry I guess Im the minority for that part of it. It wasnt crunchy like the original recipe and it basically fell of the muffin and burn on the baking pan. I will continue to follow the original recipe for now on.
