About this Cook
I am a huge fan of international cuisine. I LOVE to try new and exciting flavors from all ovcr the world, that being said..I also have to cook for the most booooring eaters ever!!(my 4 kiddos and my hubby). I also cook the same way I garden...one black thumb, one green thumb. About half to three quarters of my experiments are edible..lol. The thing that I hear from my family most about my cooking is "What is that?!"
My favorite things to cook
Baking fresh bread, pies, and cookies. Yumm-O!`
My favorite family cooking traditions
Roasted turkey with old fashioned southern cornbread stuffing. Virginia brand ham with red-eye gravy and real mashed potatoes !
My cooking triumphs
I make a beautiful Cajun chicken pasta that my entire family adores.
My cooking tragedies
the time I forgot the salt in the bread recipe...the time I baked a cake that even the dog wouldn't eat...the sausage patties we used for hockey pucks...the time i burned water...LOL

Barbecue Beef for Sandwiches
I doubled the recipe for the sauce as recommended and had just enough. I made this for a huge family picnic and everyone raved about it. I also used the meat juices in the chili sauce bottle in place of water to give it a bit more flavor. This is a great recipe!

Cuban Grilled Chicken Salad
This is a great recipe! Even my veggie hating husband had seconds! The only changes I made were to leave the avocado on the side and up the amount of garlic in the dressing. Thanks for sharing Cocoadawn!
