CindyKay & Tom
About this Cook
Married to Tom for 30 years. We have 2 grown boys, 1 daughter-in-law, 4 grandchildren. Work as a cook in health food store. I enjoy baking, cooking, with grandkids. We like to walk, hike, fish, watch classic tv, good movies.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy baking for my family and friends. People ask for my cinnamon rolls and cookies. I enjoy finding and learning different ways to cook and bake and my family enjoys taste testing.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always have a big thanksgiving meal that includes mashed potatoes, cranberry, and our daughter-in-law always makes her sweet potatoes. We always gather at one anothers homes and enjoy being togather.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering the new way of cooking and baking.
My cooking tragedies
When I was younger, I once used baking soda in place of baking powder in Baking Powder Biscuits. My dad ate it anyway.

Walnut Brownies
These are YUMMO! I made these almost exactly like the recipe says except I used 1 whole egg. They are chewy, flavorful. All who tried them liked them, even one person who doesn't like carob.

Fruit Oatmeal Cookie Bars
This is a great tasting and easy recipe, I just combined all the dry ingredients in my food processor. I doubled the recipe and substituted sucanat for the brown sugar and it was wonderful, I made it at the health food store that I work at and it was a BIG BIG hit.
