About this Cook
I love having a good time with lots of great friends and delicious food!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking! Sweets are my special area!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is heavily German. I love schnitzel and homemade sausages!
My cooking triumphs
I had my in-laws over for a first dinner in our home. Cheese, veggies, and fruit appetizers, ceasar salad, breadsticks, lasagna, and tiramisu! It went fabulous!
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make rice for a family I work for: I used too much water and the whole pot was a gloopy mess. What a bummer!

Pear Pie III
Awesome! A few personal substitutions to suit my taste (such as alittle more spice) and this was a hit!!

Indian Chapati Bread
This is an extremely easy recipe that requires so few ingredients, most of us already have these things on hand. The important things to note are 1.) The thinner the better. Use more flour on your hands/rolling pin or alittle extra oil to keep the dough from sticking. 2.) Medium-High heat is best rather than full high as it gives the dough time to brown all over. and 3.) letting the dough rest for a few min after kneading seriously helps its elasticity. Give it a go!!!

Chickpea Curry
I made this a few weeks ago for the family. Everyone loved it! I served it over quinoa and it was super tasty! The spice mixture was PERFECT! One can alter the cilantro or chili content for individual taste and it will still create a lovely dish. I am making this again for tomorrow's dinner!
