only gave 4 stars because after beating the eggs and vanilla together i saw that there just wasn't enough liquid to be absorbed into the bread. i added 1 cup milk to the egg mixture and poured it over challah ( i removed the crust first). with that change it was FANTASTIC!! next time i make it for a group i'll make 2, because no one got to have seconds!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

only gave 4 stars because the size of the pans was wrong - had a little mess on the oven floor (good thing i had special liner down). next time - and there will be a next time - i will use 8x4" pans. the taste though was amazing!!

Honey Mustard Chicken with Pretzel Crust

GREAT! served for company tonight and everyone loved it. put chicken on rack placed over a baking pan so that the underside didn't get soggy and was cooked the same as the top. used salted pretzel rods.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

all ingredients were wonderful - doubled the recipe and roasted 35 minutes at 375 degrees - turned potatoes over then raised temp to 400 and roasted an additional 10 minutes. we love roasted potatoes well done - crispy.

Zucchini and Potato Bake

when i make something from this site, i follow the recipe as written then rate it on the outcome - second time add or subtract according to my taste. that being said - this was loved by all and the next time i make this i may add onions (we love onions). Great side dish.

Brown Sugar Banana Nut Bread I

as suggested by other reviewers, i added 1t cinnamon to the flour mixture and sprinkled brown sugar on top before baking. this is the BEST banana bread EVER. (i have been using an old stand-by recipe for years and this has now replaced it).

these are awesome!! took the advise of others and reduced the cocoa to 1/8c. used 1/2 butter, 1/2 butter flavored crisco. family can't get enough of them!

Baked Potato Skins

these are amazing! crisp and flavorful. i used olive oil instead of veg. oil, bacos instead of bacon. used only 2 potatoes (just the two of us) and all the oil mixture, so if i was going to make 4 potatoes i would double the oil mixture.

Ladyfinger Cheesecake

GREAT cheesecake. everyone said it was the lightest cheesecake they ever ate. while assembling it though, i saw that if i finished with the final layer of ladyfingers then the cherries i would of had an overflowing mess - so i put the cherries on top of the last layer of cream cheese then with a few of the remaining ladyfingers made a design on top of the cherries. next time i make this -and i will - i'll use a l0 inch pan.

Elvis Cookies

WAY to much butter! I was using two ovens and because there was so much batter, by the time I got down to the last batch they came out greasy and flat and I wound up throwing these away. I gave these three stars only because the first few batches were ok and my grandson, who doesn't eat much, ate at least 8 of them. He loved them! If I make these again I will cut the recipe in half and decrease the butter - probably in half.
