This is fantastic...almost like my Mom's, who is of German descent. Even my brother and sister thought it was close!

Great recipe! A lot of people said they had trouble rolling out the biscuits, so I used a little flour and this worked out great. I used Grands Flaky Biscuits and split each biscuit in half. Used all the biscuits and still had left-over filling, which I froze. I served sour cream and salsa on the side. I can envision using other fillings, as well.

excellent salad! My husband loves both blue cheese and pears...so this one was really a hit with him. Not really sure I will do the avaocado next time; just don't think it needed it or enhanced the flavor. I added just a tad more sugar.
