The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
This definitely would've been a 5 start rating, however, my cookies spread so much when I baked them that you couldn't tell what some of them were....I just did some carving with a knife to fix it tho, then decorated them with a buttercream frosting. YUM. 5 stars for taste, no doubt. I thought they were plenty sweet, especially with all the frosting on top! I don't know why they spread so bad. I did double the vanilla, but other than that I followed recipe exactly. I will use this recipe again for sure, maybe next time I will add a bit more flour. Dough rolled out and cut just fine for me, however, rolling on parchment paper was key, and dusting paper and rolling pin with confectioner's sugar (great tips from other reviews). My husband loved these and he usually doesn't like sugar cookies!
