About this Cook
I love cooking for my husband and family. To see them enjoying a meal i made gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling. I am an avid reader of romance, thrillers, and fiction books. My favorite authors are Stephen King, Laurell K. Hamilton and Lisa Kleypas. I listen to music every day, my preferences are j-pop and k-pop. My favorite artists are Ayumi Hamasaki and Paramore.
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE cake, so i make it frequently. I love to make japanese food, and just got into making mexican dishes. My favorite japanese dish to make is Katsudon Tonkatsu. I enjoy making simple dishes, but also like a good challenge to push me a bit.
My cooking triumphs
I was in the french club in high school and we had a holiday party. I offered to make a cake. I made a bouche de noel and it came out horribly the first time. I had just started baking then and didn't know what stiff egg whites were, so my cake was a flat dense mess. I tried again the next year, and it came out great! I had never felt so proud.
My cooking tragedies
My first bouche de noel, and a chicken soup i had made from scratch for my husband. It tasted awful! I still don't know what went wrong.

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie
I don't like pumpkin pie but some of my family does, so i made this for thanksgiving dessert. They enjoyed it! I made recipe as is except ommited the ginger, and added more cinnamon. Also used a frozen deep dish pie crust, and omitted the streusel.

Spinach Tomato Tortellini
This was sooo good! I only made some small changes. Since some reviews said it could use more spinach, i used one full bunch, and took out the basil since i can't stand the stuff. I used a can of roasted tomatoes and garlic, 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese and sauteed some onions with the spinach and garlic before adding the canned tomatoes. Delish! Will definately make again.

Campbell's(R) Easy Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas
This was pretty good! I used corn tortillas instead of flour, and warmed them in the microwave first. I used medium Pace sauce for a little more heat. Also added spanish rice to the filling. Yummy!
