Christmas cookies. I bake for my husband's and my work Christmas parties every year. This past Christmas I made 80 dozen cookies and 35 dozen pieces of candy. It was insane! My grandmother finally taught me how to make her Puerto Rican rice (we call it that within the family, I have no idea what it is actually called). She is the only one who can make it, whenever anyone else has tried, we have failed miserably. Finally, I know her secret! Learning to make Mexican food. Chicken/beef enchiladas with refried beans and rice. LOVE it. I found a Mexican cookbook and started cooking my way through it. It is my go to book when I want to try something new. Mustard dill chicken. All I have to say about this is it was so terrible, that my husband and I each got up at the same time to throw it away. We then ordered a pizza and that recipe went in the trash.
