About this Cook
I love to try new recipes - I love to cook for my family and friends - it makes me feel good to know I've pleased my loved ones with food that's good, comforting and good for them.
My favorite things to cook
I especially love trying new dinner recipes and baking anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking tradition has to be when my daughter helps me in the kitchen - no matter what we're cooking.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that turns out better than my expectations and makes the people in my life happy is a cooking triumph!
My cooking tragedies
I'll never forget the time I spent all day making spaghetti sauce from scratch (first time ever), and dropped the pot - I think we went out for pizza that night, and I was still cleaning spaghetti sauce from the nooks/crannies of the cabinets for two weeks.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili
This is EXCELLENT! I took another reader's suggestion and added black beans, corn and cumin - for those skeptics out there, you can't even taste the pumpkin, but it definitely gives it that "something extra" and the texture is hearty and comforting. I like my chili on the spicy side, so will add some cayenne pepper next time. ENJOY!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I
My daughter and I give this a 5-star rating because of how yummy it is and how easy it is to make! We put it over rice - it's one of our new favorite "comfort" foods! Definitely a keeper.

The Most Easy and Delish Meatloaf EVER!
I, too, left out the onion flakes, and did not drain the tomatoes - I also used plain bread crumbs instead of Ritz cracker crumbs, and used seasoned pepper instead of regular pepper - this is one of the best, EASIEST meatloaf recipes I've ever tried - I can hardly wait until tomorrow when the meatloaf is cold, and I can make sandwiches with Provolone cheese on French bread!
