I am a working wife and mother. I enjoy tring new recipes and adding a little something different at family get togethers. I'm more of a baker than cook. Most of my cooking knowledge comes from my father. He past away two years ago, but I hope to keep his spirit alive in the kitchen. Cakes, cookies, cobblers, fried chicken tenders, homemade french fries, and soups Every Christmas I love to get together with the other women in my family and we all bake a variety of holiday treats. The young learn from the old, and the husbands and children love to test taste! I love funnel cakes at the state fair, but hate paying $7 for one. I now make them at home with a recipe that my mother and I put together. There really are no measurements just a cup of this and a dash of that. I LOVE IT! Now we never buy them when we're out. We just make them at home and they taste better than the bought ones, because we made them to fit our taste buds!
