Chicken French w/mushrooms, final stage of cooking
About this Cook
I'm a newbie to the kitchen! After working 2 jobs back to back for a few years, I finally have the time to enter into the kitchen. I've been "cooking" for about 2 years & think I'm finally getting the skills under my belt. I love this website!!
My favorite things to cook
Fish- any kind, any recipe, any way. I'm not a big "meat" eater, I just usually stick with the basics. Just learning the crockpot, so anything slow cooked as well. Also, I'm enjoying making soups, any kind!
My favorite family cooking traditions
can't think of any, but love a house that smells full of any cooking aroma- it's so cozy.
My cooking triumphs
pork pot stickers- lengthy process but had a great time & they came out so good to boot!
My cooking tragedies
Chicken mole- enough said.

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad
this was awesome! I grilled 2 chicken breast & boiled the pasta & made the sauce while doing that, shredded the chicken, combined & added fresh cilantro & green onions and WOW!!! so good cold the next day for lunch- this will be in my rotation.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken
I thought this recipe was terrific! I love anything spicy, I stuck to the recipes measurements & thought is was just enough kick, I applied the rub & then threw the chicken on the grill w/some asparagus. I used organic chicken so I basically had 4 thin cutlets, didn't need to pound out. the sauce was great & so flavorful using the lime, I will cut back on the butter next time b/c I think 2 tbsp was a bit much, my BF claimed the sauce was too strong, but yet he ate the entire plate??? I thought this was a restaurant quality meal & will be making again. This was perfect for a summer night!!
