Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
Ok, so the cookies are INCREDIBLE! I've made the recipe twice now. The first time I did it exactly as the recipe calls for (eggs at room temperature and everything) except I used probably half the amount of chocolate chips (which was still PLENTY) and accidentally used double the amount of brown sugar (I used splenda brown sugar and found out later that you only need to use half the amount). But the first batch was GREAT! My husband and I LOVED them and finished them in like 3 or 4 days. The second time I forgot to bring the eggs to room temperature, used the full amount of chocolate chips, and the called for amount of brown sugar. This batch was good, but definitely not as good. They were a bit fluffier and the actual dough was a bit on the bland side. Maybe its because of the cold eggs or because of the chocolate over powering the dough....not quite sure yet. But this recipe is DEFINITELY A KEEPER! Let me know if you have any suggestions as to how to improve my mistakes. :)
