This is a very good cookie recipe. I have tried all the standard ones in the past, but this by far has succeeded anything I have done. I used all of the recommendations by the comments left such as: use room temperature ingredients, refrigerate the dough when not using, cool the pan to room temperature when switching out batches, and so forth. I added a little cinnamon to mine, and that is about it. Yum!

My girlfriend made this for her grandmother's birthday, and it was a huge hit. Everyone loved it, and it was very easy to make. My girlfriend does not cook too often, and this was her first big cake to make. Great recipe.

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved these over double chocolate cupcakes. The frosting is very rich, so I had to restrain myself to only eating one or two. Great stuff!
