I just turned 50 on Sept. 5th. I love, love, love to cook. Not so much baking but am forcing myself to try. I have a 20 yr old going to college who is my heart!
My favorite things to cook
Anything! Soups, stews, grilling, vegetarian fare, really anything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom is Hungarian so lots of noodles, spices, and especially Christmas! I am learning Mom's cookies to keep the traditions alive!
My cooking triumphs
People die for my deviled eggs. I have started to pickle this year and my oatmeal cranberry cookies are a big hit.
My cooking tragedies
When I was married the first time, I was only 19. I made spaghetti and meatballs for my husband, but just took the ground beef and made it into balls and threw them in the Ragu sauce. When he came home, they were floating in there with about 2 inches of grease! I didn't add anything to the meat! I also threw the spaghetti in the sauce. It was all clumped up! What a disaster!
