I'm a college student living with two boys. It often feels like I'm cooking for children with unusually large appetites. I love to bake; cookies, cakes, muffins, pies - they are all my favorites to make. Anytime I can make a delicious vegetable dish I feel a sense of personal triumph, as my boyfriend detests veggies. So it must be delicious for him to be eating it! I once tried to make a lemon meringue pie with a hand whisk. I whisked for an hour and still didn't get proper peaks. It turned out to be a kind of lemon-melted-marshmallow pie. It didn't taste bad, but the texture was waaaay off.
