This is a great low cal recipe. You get the feeling of a comfort food because of the bit of gravy on the meat, yet it is still a nicely low cal dish. I would add a bit of salt to the gravy for my taste, but I left the recipe as is because my husband has a heart condition. It was still tasty.

Black-Eyed Pea Salad II

Ohhhh...this was very good and very refreshing. I think I prefer eating black eye peas this way than the traditional way. The sun dried tomotoes really set it off.

My Crab Cakes

These were very good! Very simple with lots of flavor. We had boilded snow crab legs the night before and couldn't quite eat them all, so we used the leftovers to make these. Served them with a remoulade sauce. Tasty

Left-Over Turkey Pot Pie

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Yes, this sounds very basic, but the results are fantastic. Very moist turkey with a really nice, traditional flavor. You won't be disappointed.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake V

This is a very easy and very good recipe. I did leave the coconut out because this was a birthday cake for a friend who is allergic to coconut but loves pineapple. I had no problems with the top layer cracking. I did shave the cake on the top layer to be level with the top of the cake pan before turning it over so it layed perfectly flat. The double layering adds lots more pineapple to the cake and was a big hit with everyone. Definitely a keeper.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Very good crust and very easy to make. It makes a pretty thick crust for one pizza, so if you like it thinner, you'll want to divide the dough.

This is really good apple pie. Didn't come out runny at all like so many other recipes that I've tried have. I was afraid that it might be too sweet, but it wasn't at all. Very tasty.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

These were awsome! Hubby cooked these tonight. Folowed the recipe as written and we were very pleased with the outcome. We had a heck of a time getting them plated because the meat kept falling away from the bones, they were so tender. The sauce was delicious too. I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe.

Ranch Beans

These were pretty good. I cooked the recipe as written and they came out very well. I do like the sweet bean recipes, but this was a nice change of pace. I served them with sweet slow cooked ribs and they complimented each other well.

Sunshine Toast

Add a litte sausage or bacon and you have a full breakfast. It's a fun and different way to eat eggs and toast and my son loved the toast medalions I made with the centers.

Rachael's Superheated Cajun Boiled Peanuts

Here's another recipe that I wish I could give 6 stars to! I live in Pensacola, FL and have eaten my fair share of roadside stand boiled peanuts. I love them and these are some of the best I've ever had. I didn't change a thing about the spice blend. I love the fact that this recipe doesn't call for alot of salt compared to some other recipes. You don't need it. The spice blend gives the peanuts tons of flavor. If you are afraid of the heat, don't be. These have a little kick, but they won't send you running for the milk jug. It took about 26 hrs for mine to cook the way I like them.

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Easy Cola Chicken

Creamy Jalapeno

Made this for an office party. They loved it. Thought 2 jalapenos would be a bit too hot, but it wasn't. It was just right. I served with ruffled chips, but corn chips would probably be good too.

World's Best Lasagna

I wish I could give this 6 stars. I made this tonight. This is one of the best lasagnas I've ever tasted. As good as anything I've had at a restaurant and better than some. Didn't make too many changes. Used fresh basil instead of dried and dried parsley instead of fresh because that's what I had on hand. The Italian sausage really stands this lasagna out. Took the advice of another reviewer and didn't cook the noodles as long as called for. I only boiled them for a couple of minutes. No runny lasagna. Came out perfect.
