I'm an English teacher in a very small high school. I love soups! Soups and stews are my favorite things to innovate or invent. I also love my slow cooker and baking cookies. My family is big on comfort food: soup, shepard's pie, pot roasts. My cooking triumphs all have to do with speed. My friends often plan get-to-gethers and potlucks that are subject to having the time moved up or the guest list doubled. I've never failed to bring what I promised - even one day earlier than planned or with enough for five extra people. I can get busy and forget I have something cooking. I've set of the smoke detector a couple of times.
