My name is Rena, my family is Greek and originates from the island of Cyprus. I am 46 years old, and am just now beginning to try my hand at cooking. I guess better late than never, so I am trying some really easy things first and will work my way up. I love to cook Avgolemono soup. Avgo=egg, lemono=lemon soup. That is actually one thing I am very good at cooking. I like to make mine extra lemony. When I was a little girl, I remember standing w/my mother at the kitchen counter helping her make Greek cookies or Baklava, sometimes I would get in the way, so she would hand me a handfull of dough and tell me to go play. I have mastered the are of making a really good creamy Avgolemono (egg-lemon) soup. I should be adding more to this section as I improve my cooking skills. Tragedies, other than forgetting I had steaks on the outdoor grill a couple of times and charring the steaks, nothing too tragic.
