I'm a college kid still coming to terms with adulthood. I'm a nerd/geek and I thrive on chaos.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies. Every Saturday I bake cookies for my gaming group. We play a tabletop game thing. They always order pizza and I don't always have money to contribute, and since I'm the only girl in the group of 5 guys, I bake them cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Fried matzohs for breakfast. Sooo nummy! My mom bakes bread almost every weekend it's been on and off for a while but when she brings back home made wheat bread for my sammiches or the freaking Outback Steakhouse bread...*tummy grumbles* My mom has taught me how to cook/bake. She's taught me so many things that I didn't even remember I knew. I still call her sometimes when I'm baking even though it's the right answer. I still like her confirmation. My mom also bakes home made matzoh ball and chicken noodle soup. She makes a whole slow cooker's worth and freezes it in portions for when we're sick.
My cooking triumphs
I braided bread when I was like 10.
I'm conscious about how my baked goods taste but everyone always says they're soo tasty.
It's not MY triumph but my mom remembered a recipe for no-bakes from when she was in middle school and she baked them for me to take to the gaming thing. She was so afraid of how they would taste and they LOVED them. I love my mommy very very much and she is beautiful, and talented in cooking.
My cooking tragedies
I tried making oatmeal cookies and they turned out burnt, crunchy, and just a complete disaster. I was baking cookies for a long distance boyfriend and I felt soo bad because those were his favorite kinds of cookies.
