My favorite family cooking traditions
my dad makes some BOMB tamales during christmas, and FINALLY i get to help out and learn this year! its a recipe thats been passed down from generation to generation. im proud to call myself generation #5!
My cooking triumphs
my friend called me one day to help out with his parents anniversary dinner. i had absolutely no recipes with the ingredients he had, so i made one right there off the top of my head. we ended up making shrimp scampi (if thats how you spell it). it was sooo good, over the phone, that i got a job making the food for my friends mom's birthday!!

Cookie Pizza
it was really good. everyone seemed to have really liked it! instead of chocolate chips i used chopped up Crunch and Butterfinger bars. as an addition, i topped it with a caramel drizzle. and even then is wasnt too sweet. =)
