Mexican Shepherd's Pie
The first time I made this I followed the recipe the way it was. My family loved it. The second time I made it, I did change a few things (I usually don't make changes if I am rating a recipe since I feel a recipe should be rated for what it is) This time I used Mexican Style diced tomatoes, spicy taco seasoning mix, and a sweet cornbread mix for the top. I preferred this way since the sweet cornbread accented the spicy beef mixture perfectly. Still an excellent recipe the way it is posted as well.
