I'm a 31 year old male and am a graphic designer for my local newspaper. Both my mother and father are avid cooks and encouraged me from an early age to participate in preparing our meals. There are few things I enjoy more than making people happy with food I've made! I spend waaaaay too much money on food hehe. This is tough...I enjoy preparing foods of all kinds! I'd have to say my favorite is trying new things and also refining my own recipes. My mother's family is from West Virgina and the South. She schooled me in all things breaded and fried. Her fried chicken is to die for! One dish that I just can't seem to replicate despite its simplicity. My father's family is from Scotland and he has some amazing skills in cooking meats and veggies. His preparation of rump roast always gets moans of ecstasy at the table. Homemade BBQ sauce, Jerk chicken/pork, Cheesy potato soup, Balsamic vinaigrette, Honey-mustard chicken, Coq au vin, Pasta sauce, Omelettes, Herbed homefries, Smoked steelhead, Wilted spinach salad and more!
