my two beautiful babies
About this Cook
I am happily married and a mother of 2 wonderful little children, a boy and a girl. I am a stay at home mom so I love to make the day interesting by baking with my 2 year old, although she loves to help and it can make for a not-so-great outcome sometimes. If you bake then you know every ingredient has to be precise, and well, she likes to taste what her momma's cooking! Only sometimes though because I am very adament about being healthy and that means minimal sugar, I usually try to substitute sugar with honey or fruit juice if at all possible. Well thats just a little about me, hope you found it amusing.
My favorite things to cook
Gotta say, I love to bake more than anything. Cake. haha I love to experiment with everything though and cooking really is fun when you can grab a handful of ingredients from the cupboard and whip up something crazy
My favorite family cooking traditions
The only tradition we carry in the family is lefse. It's a norwegian flatbread made out of potatoes. Sccrrruummpttious :)
My cooking triumphs
I've had many successes in the kitchen. I've tried pretty much everything but pastries, like danishes, I would love to learn how to do that!
My cooking tragedies
The only tragedy in my kitchen is when a cake comes out dry.

Homesteader Cornbread
I really enjoyed this recipe, although I may have used too much baking powder which caused it to rise super high.. Other than that the taste was amazing!! Thumbs up
