I'm not usually one to leave negative feedback, but these were the worst cupcakes I've ever made. When I tried to lift them out of the cupcake pan, they all broke in half. Not a single one came out intact They weren't moist at all, and they didn't taste like anything special either. I had made these as a gift for a friend, but they came out so badly I was too embarrassed to give them to him.

i added twice the nutmeg called for, and used a bit less butter. also, i sprinkled the cinnamon and sugar at the end, rather than dipping the muffins in it. the muffins were a little more cupcake-ish than i expected, and a little bland (the flavor reminded me of snickerdoodles). but not bad at all. i wasn't in the mood to labor over cooking this morning, so i loved how quick and simple the recipe was

i used about half the butter the recipe asked for, and they tasted fine to me. i filled the crepes with strawberries, a bit of whipped cream, and a few sprinkles of cocoa. DELICIOUS!
