About this Cook
I am a married working mom with 2 kids, a dog, a hamster and a tarantula. I like to scrapbook, make my own cards for all occasions. I like crafting in general. I like to cook and try new recipes, but I hate to clean up.I got a dirt bike for mothers day "09. the best gift for that occasion ever. the whole family has their own and we go ride as often as we can. I cook/bake better than I ride.
My favorite things to cook
Deserts. Anything that is quick for dinner. Things you take to a potluck and get asked the recipe for.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking at Christmas to hand out goodies to family you usually only see at that time.
My cooking triumphs
anything that doesn't come out raw or under cooked.
My cooking tragedies
Biscuits!!! I love biscuits, the recipes I find are easy enough, but I have a bad habit of over kneading, and I just cannot conquer them. I'm not a very patient person, I give up too easy. Then wait afew months and try again.

Old Fashioned Onion Rings
Just made these, my friend and I have recipe battles where we pick an item and both try different and sometimes the same recipes from this site, she won on this one,she told me to try it and they were crispy and great, even cold they stay crispy. my 11 yr.old daughter had fun helping me do the coating. this is going in my recipe book. can't wait to try the zucchini with this recipe.
