Hi, My name is Kimberly A. Turner so I go by KAT. I did not learn to cook from my mother, instead I was out changing pipe & feeding cows & horses. Cowgirl all the way who loves to cook. I find cooking is relaxing. I have run a outfitter/guide, wild game hunting business for 10 years. Learned to cook then over the fire. Breads, stews,roasting,b-b-q are my fav. Now I'm 42 yrs. & find myself in the kitchen more then ever & love it ! (don't tell anyone-- Martha Stewart taught me alot,thank you Martha----)I'm one to not really measure things, But always seem to get good results. I have some cateres ask me my recipes, but never wrote them down. I find this site a good way to share. Thank You. Meats,Soups, Breads, Pies, Salads, Veggies. I like Italian,Mexican,Chinese & left-over new thing. Campfire cooking,B-B-Q, & Dad's sunday dinners (usually Something we canned from the garden,i.e. tomato soup ect.), Mom's best sweet & sour chicken with rice (which she won't give me the recipe!),Biscuits & sausage gravy . Country cooked foods (i.e. Fried potatoes & Onions cooked in several different ways, any kind of meats, & Veggies out of this world !!) Many different kinds of pastas, rices & of course my famous breads. I'm never afraid to try something new or different. I cook to taste. Improvise when when nessacery. Learn more. Be creative with recipes. Let the food & seasonings sometimes create it's own flavor. Patients!!!!
