My cooking triumphs
All of my cakes in which I worked so hard.
My cooking tragedies
1) I exploded 2 pecan pies at Christmas one year. The goo that dripped down caught on fire. We still ate them, but my oven was never the same. Thank goodness for rental properties!
2) I made a key lime pie perfectly, in all things but taste. I put too much lime zest and made it taste horrible. But it looked picturesque.
3) I got garlic "clove" confused with garlic "bulb." The recipe called for 8-10 garlic cloves and I put 8 or so whole bulbs. People told me I was sweating garlic. I still ate it.
4) I tried and failed miserably at making a home made tres leche cake for my bf's b-day. It was indescribably horrific, but the bf ate a piece anyway and played along. What a good sport.
5) I have found that I like burnt food!
