I'm a stay at home Gramma of one grand daughter. My hubby is a Nurse, I have 3 kids in College. One lives at home. She loves to cook also.
My mom disappeared 9 yrs ago, she was murdered, never found.
She could stretch a meal farther than anyone I know. My dad would bring home stray WWII vets for holidays and my mom allways would be able to feed my family of 9 plus inlaws and the vets.
My favorite things to cook
I love ethnic foods. But I like cooking some things my mom use to make. I liven them up thou.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom use to make stuff like potato chip hot dish and goulash, comfort foods from the depression. We also like to cook polish foods like perogies, borchst, Also, Finish and other family foods.
My cooking triumphs
I do Thanksgiving Turkey the best. Except Gravy, my daughter or husband have to make it, lol. I have won Chili contests also, lol.
My cooking tragedies
Gravy!! And pie crust! Either burnt or raw.
