About this Cook
Five years of marriage + all the joys of courtship cooking beforehand. We all know how that goes. *wincing* "It's really um... *gulp* different... than the way I've seen it prepared before..." And kids... they won't eat anything that isn't drenched in butter/sugar/salt. Luckily we Americans got a lot of each on just about everything.
My favorite things to cook
Anything by Steve Raichlen, Asian, Mexican and Italian food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Beef Stroganoff.
My cooking triumphs
Perfect Sesame Chicken. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Perfect-Sesame-Chicken/Detail.aspx
My cooking tragedies
Harumph harumph. That's an experience builder, sonny! Puts hair on your chest. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, etcetera etcetera etcetera.

The Real Mojito
This is the closest I've found to a real Mojito like your favorite bartender will mix for you. It's essential that you use fresh spearmint and lime. If you don't like the flavor of club soda with the added sugar, replace the soda and sugar with 4oz of your favorite lemon/lime drink.

Spicy Cabbage Kimchi
As noted in other comments, used 1/3c salt. Have not tried the addition of Jicama or Asian Radishes yet, but definitely will for extra crunch and texture variety.

Steak Sauce
Meh. Would've given it even less if possible. This is like store-bought cocktail sauce with an extra splash of Worchestershire Sauce. Bo-ring. I'll keep looking.
