Stained Glass Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Quite good! I used honey instead of molasses. You could kind of taste the honey, but it didn't overpower at all and you could taste the spices quite well. I used jolly ranchers which seemed to work pretty well. I will definitely make these again, but next time I will roll the dough and cut them instead of rolling ropes.

Pecan Pie Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
These are the most delicious things I have ever eaten in my entire life! They aren't much to look at, but that really doesn't matter with how fast they will disappear. I ended up using golden brown sugar instead of dark.

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
I used caramel filled Kisses, and froze them unwrapped until I was ready for them. I also only chilled the dough for an hour. It seemed perfect then. I did have some cookies leak while in the oven, but more than half seem to be fine. I also put all the nuts in the dough, none on top. They are very delicious, even if the caramel leaks out. I will definitely make these again, but I might try a different caramel next time.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies III

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
I used my own pb cookie recipe, and i ended up with way too much dough... probably should have halved it... Everything else I did the same, and they turned out great. My husbands words were, "Never make anything else ever again". I really like the idea of putting the cup in the dough before baking.

I have made this quite a few times, and it is absolutely delicious. I always get quite a few compliments. It's definitely worth the work.

Cranberry-Walnut Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
Delicious! I will definitely make this many times. Changes I made: I used homemade cranberry sauce, and I forgot to put the walnuts in the middle, so they just ended up on top.

Peanut Butter Pie III

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
very delicious! I doubled the amount of the peanut butter mixture to make it more peanut buttery. I used a graham cracker crust, and pressing the peanut butter mixture into the crust broke the crust up quite a bit, but the slices were still able to hold their shape pretty well when served.

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
excellent! I read through all the reviews first and so with everyone's tips they didn't turn out to be too difficult to make. I think it's a must to chill the centers before wrapping the dough around them. I made the centers first and then chilled them while I made the outsides. Then, when I wrapped them, I floured my hands (turned out to be a bigger help than I expected) and then took a ball of the dough and flattened it in the palm of my hand so it was just hanging over the edges of my palm and that turned out to be just the right size for wrapping around the ball. I had to re-flour my hand after every other one to be able to wrap effectively. I did not end up with extra middles (but I only ended up with 28 anyway) and even had a little dough left to do touch ups with after flattening. I didn't add any sour cream or water to the dough and thought it turned out perfect.

Chex® Muddy Buddies®

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
I grew up on these and they are the best dessert/snack I've ever had. I've made them for parties, for my husband to take to work, and just for snacking, and I get lots of compliments and they go fast. They're especially enjoyed by kids and great for kids to help make, too. Last time I made these, I ended up using milk-chocolate chips and they're borderline too sweet, so I would advise not to do that unless you really like sweet.

Garlic Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
Delicious! Even as I was taking the first bite, I was still very unsure about garlic on corn, but it was good. I've made it a few times, a couple times with garlic powder, and a couple times with actual garlic. It's definitely better with fresh garlic. I bake them instead of grilling them and still good.

Angel's Pasta

It's only 4-stars if you use dried basil (I've made it both ways). My husband loves it even when I only use dried basil, but I find it a little bland then. It's delicious and healthy and a regular at my house now.

Spinach and Feta Pita Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
VERY GOOD! I didn't have any pesto, so I spread some olive oil on the pitas and then sprinkled dried basil on top before putting the rest of the toppings on. I also skipped the mushrooms. I will definitely make these again!

Cottage Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
Quite good! I made was to stir the cheddar in with everything else. I didn't have any chives available, so I used a little Oregano. My husband did suggest that I either saute the onions first or just skip them, so I might try that next time.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
It was pretty good, I would definitely make again! I didn't change anything, but next time I will just crumble butter crackers on top as I'm serving so that the rest can be free of mushy crackers when they become leftovers.

Owen's BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
My husband is constantly asking for this (at least once a week). I don't put in the water so that it's more saucy and less soupy, and then I double the recipe to make up for it. I also bake the chicken instead of grilling it and it is still very good. When I'm lazy, I don't put in the garlic or the onions and just mix the sauce in a bowl cold. It's not quite as good, but still pretty good.

Quick Creamy Spinach and Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
Rather bland. I put in some dried oregano, garlic powder, and ground red pepper like some others had suggested and it was still pretty flavorless. I'd suggest pine nuts though. My husband makes something similar to this with pine nuts and it's really good.
