About this Cook
I moved to Israel from Scotland a year and a half ago, after meeting my husband. We married in September 2008 and are both studying at university.
My favorite things to cook
We live in a student flat on my husband's campus and we don't have an oven. So, I love trying to find creative recipies that can be cooked on the hob. I also love making breakfast foods.
My cooking tragedies
My first attempt at Dulce de leche hardened so much that you couldn't even get a spoon in it- harder than toffee!

Cottage Cheese Loaf I
I really loved this. The only change that I made was to use branflakes instead of cornflakes (they were what I had on hand) but I think I'll keep that as it gave it a nice colour and flavour. I made this also for my husband who loves meat (meat makes me gag) as something we could eat together but he said "It looks like chopped liver". Argh! The one meaty thing he doesn't like. I loved it: 5 stars!

No Bake Cheesecake I
I made this for my husband's birthday and we both loved it! I kept everything the same except that I added a layer of my own lemon curd recipe in between the biscuit and the cheese- gave it a bit of zing.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
These were very tasty but I felt they were a little bit too liquid-y. Even so, I ate them for breakfast!
