Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I have tried many oatmeal cookie recipes, and this one is the best. I believe it is the combination of half butter crisco (although it's not healthy, shortening makes the BEST cookies) and half butter or margarine. The other step that seems to make them better is to add the raisins to the beaten eggs and vanilla and let them soak for about an hour. Add after creaming the butter and shortening with the two sugars and then the flour mixture. The raisins are "plump" in the finished cookie.

Cream of Mushroom and Soy Sauce Pork Chops

I have not yet worked up the nerve to try this recipe with the cream of mushroom soup. I'm sure I will be surprised at the melding of the tastes and will try it next time!! I used butterfly pork chops, pressed in Splenda brown sugar and marinated in the soy sauce as directed. Added a little more soy sauce and a dab of water to the crockpot when I cooked them and WOW!! I have been looking for a crockpot recipe for pork that isn't bland, and this is it.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

I put this cream cheese frosting on a Duncan Hines Decadent Carrot Cake(better than I can make from scratch), and it was just perfect. I made it just like the recipe and kept the cake in the refrigerator after frosting. Yummmmm!

Low-Fat Potato Soup

This is absolutely THE BEST potato soup. I made it exactly as the recipe states. Delicious on a cold rainy evening - or anytime for that matter!!

Mom's Easy Roast

My roast of choice is shoulder. This is a simple and delicious recipe...love what onion soup can do for so many things and the way it makes the house smell while cooking.

Diego's Special Beef Stew

This stew was delicious and so easy. I used tiger sauce in place of the worcestershire and it added a great touch. Reviews are right...it won't feed four as is.

Julia's Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

I think this recipe is better without the combination of dry onion soup, milk, and cream soup. Maybe omit the milk and substitute chicken broth. Will try that next time.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Yummy and delicious. Made just like the recipe and it turned out great. If used as a sandwich meat, it would need to be on a bun or hoagie as it would probably leak through regular bread. Added a little Tiger Sauce for spice!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Not my favorite pork chop recipe. Seemed a little tasteless and bland. The meat was very tender but I probably will not try this again.

Country Breakfast Casserole

My family thought the bread should be on the bottom to absorb some of the flavors. On top it was just dry and added nothing to the casserole. Otherwise, it was easy and tasty.
