Apple-Cheddar Tossed Salad

I enjoyed the combination of lettuce, apples, cheese and walnuts; it was a nice change. However,I didn't care for the dressing at all and ended up using a botted dressing from Trader Joes that I felt was a nice compliment. Will definitely not make the dressing again.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

This is the best zucchini bread I have ever made. After reading other reviews, I also used part white & part whole wheat flour as well as part white & part brown sugar. A definite keeper.

Delicious, a great "south of the border" recipe and wonderful on a warm summer evening. I served it on a large iceberg lettuce leaf and also had some chicken on the side. My hubby liked it a lot. Will definitely make this again. Thanks!

Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese-Chive Butter

This is a great recipe; the flavor was excellent, the steak was very tender and we loved the blue cheese chive butter on top. I've never bought or prepared a flat iron steak before, but will make this again, but with more of the blue cheese chive butter next time. Our steak took longer than 5 minutes on each side, but I think our grill cooks slower than others. Next time I will invite company!

Chicken Milano

Excellent, even though I didn't have any fresh basil, so I had to use dry. My personal pasta preference is angel hair, so used that instead. My husband raved about it and said it could be on the menu at a high end restaurant. I will definitely be making this again and would serve it to company.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Lisa's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

Excellent! I only used 1/2 oil and instead of the water, used hot, brewed coffee. My cake was done in 45 minutes, so start checking it before it's been in the oven one hour! It's easy, moist and delicious.

Beer Beef Stew II

Simple Turkey Chili

I reduced the water by one cup, otherwise I felt it would have been too soupy. Otherwise, I followed the rest of the recipe without any changes. A little too spicy for me; next time I will cut back on the chili powder. My hubby liked it and went back for seconds. We topped it with a little light sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese.
