Broccoli, Rice, Cheese, and Chicken Casserole

This is a great recipe with juust a few changes. I cut back on the velveeta to a half of a pound and added a cup of shredded cheddar cheese. We don't care for the canned chicken so I baked a few boneless skinless chicken breasts and cubed them. Also, you can substitute any creamy soup. I had only cream of mushroom on hand so thats what we used. Turned out great!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

These cupcakes are amazing! I use a dark chocolate cake mix and the preportioned cookie dough at the store. Topped with a mocha buttercream icing they are to die for! Do not skip the freezing step, I froze my dough overnight.

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

This a really good base for a great soup. I added about a half cup of diced onions and a half pound of bacon that I had browned in a skillet together. An imersion blender used lightly gives it a more authentic touch I think.

Southern Comfort Cake

This is a great recipe! I also make it with a glaze over the top. Glaze consists of butter, powdered sugar, and a splash of Southern Comfort. Sprinkle the top with powdered sugar after the glaze is set and this cake it to die for!

Amish Bread

This bread is delicious. My kiddos love this bread with a bit of honey butter at dinner time. I used the light setting on my breadmaker and took the bread out as soon as it was finished and it came out perfect.

David's Yellow Cake

I made this recipe into 24 cupcakes and it is AMAZING! I baked at 350 for about 20 minutes for the cupcakes. I didn't change the recipe at all and they baked perfectly; very level for decorating, moist, and spongy. Definitely take the time to sift the dry ingredients together. Also make sure to cream the butter and sugar very well, and add the eggs in slowly. This recipe is a keeper!

Tater Tot Casserole

This wasn't bad for a quick and easy meal. I put the hashbrowns over the entire top. I have a family of 5 and I think next time I will make 2 pans. The kids really liked it.

Cake Balls

I made these for Christmas and they disappeared. Everyone kept asking how I made them. I used chocolate cake w/ chocolate icing. I dipped them in chocolate almond bark and drizzled them with white chocolate. I did put it in the fridge after I mixed the cake and icing and left it in there over night. The next day I made them into balls and put them in the freezer overnight. Once frozen they were easy to dip. The recipe was very easy as long as you took the time to refridgerate and freeze in between steps.

Iowa Pork Steak

This is a great recipe. I was trying to figure out a way to make porksteak indoors since it was too cold to grill and these were wonderful. I had 5 large porksteaks so I added an extra can of cream of mushroom soup and I used cream instead of milk. The gravy went great with garlic mashed potatoes.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Very good basic recipe. I doubled the recipe for my family of 5 and had a bit leftover but one batch wouldn't have been enough. I added a tablespoon of vanilla to the doubled batch. These tasted great.....we are never using a mix again!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

This was delicious! I did use a little extra ham and about 1 1/2 cups more water. I made it early in the day and pured it in the crockpot so I just had to heat it for dinner. Even the kids liked it!

Light Oat Bread

This was a pretty good bread and very easy to make. Its an excellent bread for sandwiches. My bread machine has a 2lb capacity, I used the light setting and it came out perfect. I did use bread flour instead of all-purpose flour. We do like our bread a bit sweeter so next time I think I may add some Splenda. But this was pretty good especially for how easy it was.

Knock Your Socks Off Sangria!

This is a very good recipe as it stands for a quick Sangria. On warm days when I know we will be outdoors I add some club soda and serve over ice.
