I'm a student, so I don't get to cook as often as I'd like. I lean more towards the recipes that are quick and easy - fortunately the ones I have found here have turned out great! I eat just about anything, so I cook anything! I love my mom's mashed potatoes, my dad's chowder, my grandma's chili, and my grandpa's fish. I don't know about triumphs... the chocolate scotcheroos I found on this site were much loved by my friends and family, and I made some delicious stuffed mushrooms (another AllRecipes find) recently. as a student I don't have much time to try triumph... there's a family legend about the time I made cookies as a young child - I was just learning how to cook and thoroughly enjoying baking. I made a batch of kiss cookies - the drop kind with the hershey's in the middle? somehow I managed to substitute salt for sugar and wound up with a gross tasting but aesthetically pleasing batch. the thrill was, knowing the cookies were horrid, and giving them to the adults in the family and laughing hysterically as they spit out the salty deception. classic.
