Delano's Lemon Meringue Pie
About this Cook
I'm a new dad trying to learn more recipes for my family. I knew a few good recipes as a bachelor, but now that I'm married with a 6 month little boy, I'm trying to cook as much as possible to alleviate stress for my wife.
My favorite things to cook
Soups, stews, cakes and pies are my favorite to eat, and subsequently, my favorite things to cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Although, I was brought up eating dinner around the tv for the most part, holidays were the exception. My parents are both from LARGE familys so holidays and get-togethers meant tons of food and even more cooks in the kitchen battling for space. As a new parent, I'm concerned about spending quality time with my family as well as monitoring what goes into my family's meals. My wife and I put my son's exersaucer in the kitchen, play music and cook - my wife and I get to talk about our day and our sons loves it!
My cooking triumphs
Last Thanksgiving when my wife was 8 1/2 months pregnant, I pulled off Thanksgiving lunch for the family and her relatives and every recipe came from this site.
My cooking tragedies
Buying a bread machine - biggest waste of money ever.

Sesame Green Beans
A HUGE hit at Christmas lunch this year. My wife and sister are now making this recipe. My 2 year old loves them as well.

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men
I gave these a 4 because they fall a little short of the gingerbread cookies I remember as a child, however all the neices and nephews loved decorating these cookies before devouring them.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies
These were a huge hit at our house for Christmas this year. Very easy to make and you can't go wrong with Reeses.
