These were a good, fast breakfast roll. Tasted great and were very easy to make. I will keep this one handy.

Herbed Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
This is the best potato soup I have made. Loved the flavor. I did follow some previous advice. I added some chopped carrots and had some sweet bell peppers on hand, so threw those in too. I also added garlic and a few slices of chopped bacon. You could add almost any veggie to this one. Corn would be good in there too. It is a great base recipe to add onto. The proportions were all good and the flavor spectacular!

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
This is my new favorite weekend breakfast. I have made it before with milk instead of 1/2 & 1/2. It turned out fine that time. I made it today with 4 eggs and it also turned out fine. Next time I am reducing the amount of brown sugar. Reading the previous reviews helps. I think 3/4 cups brown sugar is plenty. Grand Marnier is a must, and we top it with fresh berries. The sweetness of the sauce and the sour of the berries is a nice combo. I am so glad I found this recipe!

Easy Chicken Alfredo II

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
I really liked this for a quick weeknight dinner. I sauteed the chicken strips in olive oil and garlic. Did everything else in the recipe the same. It would be excellent with mushrooms in the sauce too. I will make this again. I was craving cream sauce and this is a lower fat sauce. I had Penne pasta which held the sauce nicely too.

Chicken Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
This was a great meal. I like the fact that you use only 1 pie crust top. I was out of carrots, so I added bok choy, red bell pepper, and corn to the other ingredients. I also added a bit of grated pepper jack cheese. It was yummy. I kept going back for more! My husband also liked it and want me to make it again. A good hearty, winter meal.

Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
These were good. I will make them again and next time, use the lemon extract. I used lemon juice and couldn't taste much lemon. I followed another suggestion about dusting with powd. sugar after they are done. They have a great texture, and I was amazed that they tasted so good even when I used Smart Start tub margarine, because I was out of butter. I will make again!

Cranberry-Orange Spiced Oatmeal

I needed something different than regular oatmeal with brown sugar. So, this was really tasty! I like using the blueberries (I had fresh) and adding the spices. I served it up with a smoothie for a very filling breakfast!

Swedish Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
I liked this recipe. A little more time intensive than past swedish pancakes I have made, but worth the extra effort. They turned out great! I took some light sour cream and added a little sugar and marionberry jam. That's what I filled them with. Easy and tasty! I will make them again.

Portofino Lamb and Artichoke Risotto

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I loved this recipe. I made it with leftover leg of lamb. I did not have Arbiaro rice, but I used regular rice. It didn't turn out as creamy as regular risotto, but it was still delicious and a definate comfort food. I will make this again!

German Apple Pancake

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
This recipe was okay. The presentation is outstanding. The flavor was more "eggy" than I was expecting, but it did have lots of eggs. Seemed very rich. We put cranberry syrup over it to add some flavor. It really reminded me of bread pudding.
