Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

Great recipe with a few tweaks: use more fruit, cut the sugar to 1/2 a cup and also add 1/2 cup of walnuts or pecans chopped or ground into the topping (can add directly to food processor).

Warm Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic and Bacon

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2010
This dip did not last 1 hour at a party! I used a sweet vildalia onion instead of the chives. Served with a sourdough baguette and crackers. I have to make it again due to all the requests. Is very rich though.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

These pancakes are great! We make them at least twice a month. Sometimes I substitute about 1/2 wheat flour and they still taste wonderful! I also always add a tsp of vanilla.

Tomatillo Guacamole

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
This is a great recipe! I always add about a teaspoon of olive oil, cilantro, and either a jalapeno or Serrano pepper or both to give it more of a kick. We like things spicy in my house and do not omit the hot sauce but this still isn't overly hot with the peppers.

Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
Very good, is a little too sweet so I followed some of the reviews and added chopped pecans which helped balance out the flavors. I only used 2 cups of sugar and added 1/4 cup of melted butter to the filling as per the Paula Dean recipe (her recipe called for 1/2 cup of butter)
