hi, i was very skeptical about making this because of the few ingredients listed. all the recipies i have, have as many as 10-12 eggs plus oodles of other ingreds .i decided to read the reviews, then went ahead and made it.so happy i made it.i did it exactly as recipe said.it was fantastic.the texture was perfect, the cake baked perfectly.i'v made many recipies from this site, but this one is the best .i threw out all my other pound cake recipies. i have made three more since the first one. everyone loves it . thanks ever so much for the simple yet magificant recipe betty.i'd like to add thanks to u reviewers as well, without them i would not have found this awesome cake. thanks

a friend gave me this recipe about 12 yrs ago.it is the very best in chocolate cakes in my opinion.u can't do any thing wrong with it.i've made it when i was low on cocoa, another time with only 1 1/2cups sugar,and another time only had 1 egg.it turned out every time.this is a magical recipe.wouldn't try any other. u can't improve on perfection.if some of u haven't tried this i suggest u do, u won't be sorry. i us it to make chocolate trifle, zuccotto, layer it with buttercream, ganache it,or just have it plain, or w/yogurt.thanks shirleyo for sharing .now others can enjoy it as much as i do.5 stars +

this is a real treat .i have some food restrictions put on me,and with zucchini season here i was looking for some recipes that i could enjoy. i found quiet a few that i could make to suit my diet.tried a couple today and i must say this one was sure a hit even with my neighbor.the only thing i changed was the cheese, i used soy-veggie cheese and it was still very tasty.thanks Mary Jo

just finished eating this dish, it was awesome.i rated it 4 star only because i had to change some of the ingredients, cause i am not able to eat white potato, peppers, so instead i used sweet potato & carrots ..it turned out delicious.i most generaly try a new recipe with out changing anything,then tweak it later if necessary.if i could i would give this 10 stars.leave it to allrecipes folks to come up with dishes i can have with my restrictions.thanksfor your submission Jana.

well charles,u did it this time. i have been looking for this exact roll. i tried other recipes from this site,granted they were good ,but your recipe deserved 5 stars.i just finished baking the first batch, followed recipe to the letter.they were lite & airy inside very crusty on outside, just the way i love them.thanks a bunch.uh oh, there goes my timer.gotta run.

garlic harvest is when i get a big bunch given to me.i love pickled garlic, now i can make my own .can't wait to make them .thanks a million brenda.since i haven't made them yet i can rate them on how i think they will turn out.

i,ve been making this recipi as meat loaf for years , but i never thought of trying them as muffins!! "wow" what a great idea.as far as the grease is concerned i've never had a prob.the veggie soup makes them really moist. its my favorite meatloaf recipi.also i tried the grilled turkey legs theywere a BIG hit w/ my company didn't change a thing.thanks for a great way to do turkey legs

this is an old standby i've used for yrs it is awesome, here in nl we call it poor man's pudding. one viewer said to use half & half, she's right it does make it so much better ,makes it a rich man's pudding

hi just wanted to say i've been making this salad for some time now and it is a winner.i have added chicken breast to make a main dish it goes over very well .we just add more pepper since we are pepper lovers.it is our salad of choice to take to get-togethers.

i do agree with bensmom.this is the same recipi my dad used when in the military, it was my favorite,it was also the simplest to make, only diff was we both liked lots fresh pepper.and it didn't take all afternoon to make it

this is definitely five star,but could only give it four cause i changed an ingredient, i can't get hominy here so i used yellow and white corn.it turned out delicous.definately a replacement for chili.thank you majorgsp for this wonderful recipi

i have to agree this is the best.i found this recipi in a 'taste of home magazine back in 1996.it was such a hit i decided to use it as my breakfast spcial at my bed and breakfast for 4 yrs.people came from all over just to have it .it surly is a winner .i've given the recipi to many.

..this chilaquiles dish was awesome,however i used tortillia chips,because i cannot buy fresh corn tortillias here in nl.i lived in sacto,ca.for 12 yrs where i got addicted to mexican food. only problem is when i came back home to live,i couldn't get the ingred to cook it.now i can get a lot of items but not fresh corn tortillias.my son is a truck driver & used to run to the us, he would bring them to me.he doesn't run u.s. any more,so there goes my supplier. i sure miss the fresh tortillias,however i do subsitute the chips for the fresh .this dish must be to die for with the fresh tortillias.

i've been trying ranch dressing recipies for twenty plus years, i don't think it gets any better than this.simple to make but certainly not simple on taste.it is an excellent base for a cook's imagination

this recipi is a bag of chips alright. i also tried white cake mix with white chocolate chips,raspberry flavored cranberries and walnuts...WOW. A big hit. every one who tried them asked for the recipi

this is to die for.i subsituted partridgeberries, (local BERRIES WE IN NL ARE KNOWN FOR)for the cranberries.they are smaller in size & a bit more tart.
