Mary Oppenhiemer's Butter Cake
This cake is not what thought it was going to be.. Don't get my wrong it was very good. I made cupcakes and they were not a sweet as i though. Instead I am using them as short cakes with Strawberries and whipped cream mmmmm...

Crisp Lemon Sugar Cookies
Just what I was looking for! I did not have butter flavor shortening so I used regular shortening. Came out just fine. I also made a glaze for the top with lemon juice and powdered sugar. mmmmm
