Strawberry Shortcake
This was great!! I only changed the shortening to butter and followed the rest of the recipe exactly. I baked the cakes in my muffin pan (15mins at 425), and got 10 cakes. It tastes just like the ones my grandma used to make...even my husband thought it was fabulous, and he was dubious at first because he is used to the ones made with angel food cake. This is definately a keeper!!!! Thanks Denyse!!!!

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch
I used about 3/4 cup of sugar, thanks to the reviews I saw here. I baked mine in a 9 x 9 inch deep dish...and it was fabulous!! I added about 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to give the topping a little extra, and since I had an extra cup of rhubarb left over I put that in too. Everything worked beautifully, and my husband is still raving.

Belles Hamburger Buns
I've been looking for a good recipe for hamburger buns for a while, as I prefer to make as much of my family's food from scratch as possible. This recipe was easy and turned out beautifully! I prepared the bread dough as I always do, and replaced 2 cups of white flour with whole wheat flour. I also grated a bit of cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top of the buns before baking. They were just the right size and the texture was perfect! They got rave reviews from my VERY picky husband, and I'll never buy buns from the grocery store again!
