About this Cook
I guess wife, mom and grandma are my favorite roles in life...
My favorite things to cook
There is little I don't like to cook but with a few finicky eaters I am, sometimes, limited on what I actually do cook. When my self proclaimed "simple man with simple tastes" husband is out of town I like to get creative!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Enchiladas, Creole Jambalaya, Chili and Smoked Meats.
My cooking triumphs
Raising a son and daughter who also love to cook. My son has surpassed his teacher...sharing a love of cooking is a bigger triumph than anything I have cooked myself.
My cooking tragedies
LOL...well when you are brave enough to try anything these happen more often but fortunately they are few for me. I do remember when I was learning to cook creatively I tried to make a chicken dish that called for a white wine, I substituted a hearty burgundy...we had a really bad tasting purple chicken dish. Not so good...

Macaroni Ham Salad
Really wasn't a favorite, it wasn't horrible but I won't make it again.

Sangria! Sangria!
Well it may not have been the very best I ever had but it certainly was good, refreshing and wonderful on a hot Texas day.
