About this Cook
Hello! I'm an artist, wife and mother. I love cooking, painting, drawing, talking, sewing, playing with my baby, eating weird food, watching movies with my husband, reading, friends, whales, bugs, chocolate, writing, helping others, nice people, and animals... I hate traffic, cars, rude people, parking lots that trap you, cigarettes, and most of all crappy food
My favorite things to cook
Everything! But I really like slow cooking and baking..you never know what your going to get!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Saturday BBQ, Sunday pasta, and my own 15 year tradition of a spoon of peanut butter in the oatmeal for breakfast...yum!
My cooking triumphs
I made some bomb Ethiopian beef the other day
My cooking tragedies
Paella recipe...I used the wrong rice, I used regular instead of risotto, and the rice absorbed all the juice. The whole dish became one giant seafood flavored starch ball! Ouch!

Chicken Dijon
LOVE IT! I added dried dill and cilantro to it, and it was fantastic. I also just used milk instead of cream to lower the fat content. I skipped all those pots and steps, I just mixed the sauce, threw in the chicken, and put it all in the oven. I baked it for about 45 min...perfect!!!

Wheat Bread with Flax Seed
I LOVED THIS!!!! It was by far my favorite bread recipe. SO good. I didn't use the wheat gluten, and I also didn't have dry milk powder, I just used milk instead of water. Amazing, simple, and for sure a colon cleanser!

French Brioche
I followed this to a T. It never rose. Too hard and crusty, but still raw inside..I give it 3 stars, bc maybe it was me
