I love to cook and have huge spreads of food to share with family and friends. I love the entire experience of cooking including finding the recipe, setting the table, and even the clean up. My three children are very UN-picky eaters (and a husband who is also not picky), which is a joy becasue they will try anything I make. I've been on a mission to make New Orleans style french bread, but I have not found any recipe that even comes close to the wonderful taste and texture. I love making any type of bread. I love to cook anything, even grilled cheese sandwiches. My Grandmother used to make lost bread, which is really just french toast, but it was so good that we did not even add syrup or any type of sugar. She made it with stale french bread - so YUMMY! I did not even know what "french toast" was until I was grown and began cooking for myself, as we always called it lost bread. She also used to make "big pancakes," which were really just crepes. She used to put the batter in a black frying pan and roll it around until it coated the pan, then flip it, then sprinkle plain white sugar and roll it up - and we would just go crazy cause it was so good. I don't think I've experienced my cooking "triumph" yet. When I find that french bread recipe and it comes out like the traditional NO loaf, I'll consider that a triumph. I'll keep you posted. Oh, so many! The worst thing I can remember making was taco pie, which was so horrible that my UN-picky eaters would not even eat it. It was pretty bad.
