Mushroom and Potato Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This was a great recipe. I made a little extra and when I was cooking it, I had unexpected company..offered them a bowl and there no leftovers. Made with crusty bread. Really no changes to the recipe needed! I used freshed baby bella mushrooms.

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
I made two turkeys for Thanksgiving this year, and used this recipe. I received such great comments. The turkey turned out SOOO moist and flavorful. I also added a couple of tabs of butter and placed that under the skin, it did seem to keep it even more flavorful. I used the drippings to make gravy and it was incredible! You won't be disappointed. Was going to brine my turkey, but decided against it, and it turned out just a moist, if not more so. Cooked a 12 pound bird at 325 for 3-4 hours, or until the temp reached 170, then took it out to allow it to continue to cook. Also poured some low sodium broth with onions and parsley over the bird before putting it in to cook. I used all fresh herbs which I think made a huge difference!

Roasted Rack of Lamb

Simply amazing. I am not a huge fan of lamb, but wanted to make something special for my boyfriend. He loved it and so did I. Very easy and I followed the recipe and some suggestions from others.

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Followed the recipe to a T and it turned out great. I have made pecan pies in the past and they turned out hard because I could never get them to bake correctly, then ended up over baking! This was simple! I did cover my pie crust with some tin foil as one reviewer suggested and it helped to keep it brown, not burnt. I used the double pastry pie crust from this site as well, GREAT!

This is a nice basic recipe that my 13 year old son can make after school. It's a flexible recipe as we have tried sausage, mushroom, etc and it has all turned out yummy!

Figs and Toasted Almonds Brie

This is a wonderful recipe! Very easy. Who knew that figs could taste so good. I didn't make any modifications to the recipe. I took this to a wine tasting party and it was one of the first things gone!

Pastry for Double Pie-Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
Wow! This pie crust is SO easy to use! I do have to add up to 10 Tbs of water in order to make it work for me, and I used butter flavored crisco..yummy! I made 8 pies for Thanksgiving using this crust and everyone said the pies were the best they had...they crust is also great for pot pies! Thanks for sharing!

Kraut Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
I thought this was very heavy on the cream cheese, so I only used one 8oz block, and it still was too creamy for me, but my partner liked it. I would consider increasing the meat, or still decreasing the cream cheese content.
