I'm a full time stay at home mom. I volunteer my time at my daughters school and enjoy raising funds for those that are in need. I recently moved to Ringgold, GA about a year and a half ago. I also made a life style change almost 3 years ago by becoming a vegetarian.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite meals are homestyle comfort foods. I love to watch my family enjoy a good meal. Because I've made the vegetarian choice for myself, I catch quite bit of slack from others (who will remain nameless - lol), but my family eats healthy and well and we feel great about what goes into our bodies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I try to include my family whenever I cook. It's important to me that my children not only know what food choices are healthy, but also how to prepare them as well. I want them to know that I don't view cooking as a chore, but as an opportunity to spend time together and something to enjoy.
My cooking triumphs
I can make the heck out of some Stuffed Peppers. I wish I had an actual recipe to share, it's just one of those recipes you keep in your head. My husband is my greatest fan...he loves all that I cook (except the below mentioned "ham casserole"). =)
My cooking tragedies
I tried to create a "ham casserole" dish one time. It was such a disaster, I can't even begin to say what went wrong. We dumped it out and called for pizza.
