Really good. It does need salt though. Next time I'll add cheddar cheese, more pepper, and salt.

Baked Ham

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
This turned out great. I used pepsi and added some dark brown sugar and a little bit of ground cloves. I twisted the bag shut, but didn't poke holes in it. I did have to let steam out once about 3/4 the way through and turned the ham at that time. AWESOME. I only wish I would have bought a bigger ham!

Onion Chicken in Balsamic Sauce

This was good, but not amazing. My husband did keep saying that the Chicken was cooked perfectly though. I think the grilling/baking/juice combo is an excellent method.

They just didn't taste like Grandma's. I think I'll try this again, but without the caraway seeds for sure. Also, I think drained and rinsed sauerkraut instead of fresh cabbage.

Tomato and Basil Quiche

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
I was really expecting something fabulous, but it tasted like a basic omelet on a crust. I did use fresh basil and added 2 eggs and 1/4 cup of milk to cover ingredients. Overall, it just needs more flavor.

Chicken and Wild Rice Casserole

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
This was fine, but definitely not enough liquid in the beginning. Make it two cups of wine and enough water to cover breasts. Also, it took me a lot longer to make then the recipe shows. I probably won't make this again. The taste just didn't match the effort.

Guinness® Corned Beef

The flavor is wonderful, but I think next time I'll do this all day in a crockpot. I highly recommend cooking the beef IN the beer. I used an Irish stout. I cooked this in the oven for 3.5 hours and it was still a bit tough.

Left out the cherries and used peach schnapps instead of triple sec. Great recipe, but it makes a lot! If you are going to save it for a few days I suggest taking the citrus out after 24 hours.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

This recipe turned out amazing and it is simple to make. We made this as the main dish with green beans and salad on the side. My 1.5 year old and husband both asked for seconds so it gets a 5. I will be making this again. I think I'll try adding grilled chicken next time.

Red Lentil Curry

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
This calls for a lot of spice, but didn't seem to have as much flavor as I was expecting. I think the problem is adding the spices to the cooked onions. I suggest setting the onions aside and cooking the spices by themselves for 2 minutes, adding the tomato and then adding back in the onion.

Quick and Easy to make recipe. We used black beans instead of kidney and let it cook on low for 10 hours. I loved the sweetness that the baked beans added. My husband finished it off for lunch the next day.

Indian Chicken Curry II

This recipe was easy and tasty. I changed the recipe just a bit. I only used 1.5 Tbsp Curry (it was all I had), vanilla yogurt instead of plain, and a little less pepper. My 18month old licked her plate! Thanks, we will be adding this to our recipe rotation.
